How to set-up

1. Tabla Lusoria is played on a circular board with 4 lines dividing it. There are eight points around the circle and one in the middle forming nine playing spaces. Lines indicate permitted moves.

2. Each player selects 3 BEADs the colour of their choice.

3. BEADs are placed on 2 of the 3 spaces closest to the player and on 1 space on their opponent’s side of the board in an alternating pattern.

4. Spaces in the middle a left empty.

5. Players decide who begins the game by rolling a die.

How to play

In turns, players move 1 of their BEADs along the lines of the board to an empty space, trying to form a line of 3 BEADs.

How to win

To win the game, a player must create a row of 3 BEADs.

History

1. Tabla Lusoria is very simple board game originating in Ancient Rome. The name of the game can be translated to tabula lusoria in Latin which means tablet for games.

2. Similar to Tic-Tac-Toe, the game is so simple that, once mastered, doesn't offer any real challenge. Games can basically continue forever if neither player makes a mistake.
